Hello
I'm Jo. In 2014 my life changed in an instance when I suffered a subarachnoid haemorrhage.
Everything I knew shifted overnight. I was left with left sided weakness and had to relearn to do things that most people take for granted.
From the outside, I may look like I have recovered- but the reality is very different. I know live in a world shaped by limitation, adjustment and constant effort.
It is not the life I once knew and it is far from perfect.
But overtime, I have started to see strength in the difficult days, beauty in the small wins and meaning in the imperfections.
A Stroke of Imperfection isn't just about what I have been through. Its about living in an imperfect world and choosing to acknowledge it, share it and even try to celebrate it.
If sharing my experience helps even one person feel less alone, more understood or even more accepting of their own imperfections - then this will all be worth it,
None of us live in a perfect world and maybe by being open about the difficult parts, we can start to feel a little less pressure to hide them.
